Copyright and Licensing Policy
Guidelines regarding author rights, intellectual property ownership, and reuse permissions under open access standards.
1. Copyright Ownership
Authors publishing with NAS Publisher retain the complete copyright and intellectual property rights to their work. Publishing an article with us does not require authors to transfer their copyright to the publisher. Authors grant NAS Publisher a non-exclusive license to publish the work as the original publisher and identify itself as the primary channel of publication, alongside granting any third party the right to use the article freely under specific open licensing frameworks.
2. Licensing Terms (CC BY-NC)
All articles published by NAS Publisher are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This license permits users to copy, distribute, display, and remix the material for non-commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given to the original author and source.
3. Author Rights and Self-Archiving
Because authors retain ownership of their content, they possess broad reuse and self-archiving permissions. Authors are explicitly permitted to:
- Post the final published version of their article on personal websites, institutional repositories, or academic social networks.
- Use the article in educational presentations, lectures, and internal institutional distribution.
- Distribute copies of the work to colleagues or research partners.
Authors must ensure that proper acknowledgement is given to the original journal publication by including a full bibliographic reference and a link to the published version.
4. Permissions for Third-Party Material
If an article contains text, figures, graphs, tables, or images taken from other copyrighted publications, it is the sole responsibility of the author to secure written permission from the respective copyright holders. Proof of permission must be provided to the editorial office upon submission if requested, and appropriate credits must be embedded within the manuscript captions.
