Editorial Responsibilities
Editors are responsible for evaluating submitted manuscripts fairly, objectively, and confidentially. Editorial decisions should be based on the manuscript’s quality, originality, relevance, scholarly merit, and compliance with the journal’s policies.
Initial Assessment

- Follows the journal’s submission guidelines;
- Meets ethical and publication requirements.
Peer Review
Manuscripts considered suitable for the journal are sent for peer review according to the journal’s established peer-review policy.
Editors should consider reviewers’ comments and recommendations when making editorial decisions.
Editorial Decisions
Based on editorial assessment and peer-review reports, a manuscript may be:
- Accepted;
- Accepted subject to minor revisions;
- Returned for major revisions; or
- Rejected.
Editorial decisions must be made independently and should not be influenced by an author’s nationality, institutional affiliation, financial status, or ability to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC).
Confidentiality
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and editorial communications. Information related to a manuscript should not be disclosed to unauthorized individuals.
Conflicts of Interest
Editors should disclose and appropriately manage any conflicts of interest. Editors should not handle manuscripts where personal, professional, financial, or institutional relationships may affect their impartiality.
Publication Ethics

Editorial Independence
NAS Publisher supports editorial independence. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic and scholarly considerations and are not influenced by commercial interests.
