Article Processing Charge (APC) Policy

1. Article Processing Charge

NAS Publisher operates its journals under an open-access publishing model. To support the costs associated with editorial management, peer-review administration, manuscript processing, production, online publication, website maintenance, archiving, and other publishing services, an Article Processing Charge (APC) may apply to accepted manuscripts.

The applicable APC for each journal will be clearly displayed on the respective journal website.

2. No Submission Fee

NAS Publisher does not charge authors a fee for submitting a manuscript.

Authors may submit their manuscripts for editorial evaluation and peer review without paying a submission fee.

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance for publication.

3. Payment Only After Acceptance

The Article Processing Charge is requested only after a manuscript has successfully completed the editorial and peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication.

Authors are not required to pay an APC before:

  • Manuscript submission;
  • Initial editorial evaluation;
  • Peer review;
  • Editorial decision.

Payment of the APC does not influence the editorial decision.

Acceptance decisions are based on the journal’s editorial and peer-review processes and the scholarly quality of the manuscript.

4. Transparency of Fees

The applicable APC is clearly stated on the website.

Authors are encouraged to review the applicable APC information before submitting their manuscripts.

5. Payment Process

After formal acceptance of a manuscript, the corresponding author will receive information regarding the applicable APC and payment process.

Publication processing will proceed according to the journal’s established procedures after the applicable payment requirements have been completed.

Authors should ensure that payment information is handled through the official NAS Publisher communication channels.

6. Waivers and Discounts

Any available APC waivers or discounts is clearly described on the journal website.

Requests for APC waivers or discounts will not influence editorial decisions.

7. Refund Policy

Authors should review the applicable APC and payment information carefully before making payment.

The APC supports publishing services associated with an accepted manuscript. Refunds, if applicable, will be considered according to the circumstances and the stage of the publication process.

Detailed refund conditions may be provided separately where applicable.

8. Changes to APCs

NAS Publisher may revise APC amounts when necessary.

Any revised APC will be clearly published on the relevant journal website. Changes to APCs will not normally apply retrospectively to manuscripts that have already received a formal acceptance decision unless otherwise clearly communicated to the authors.
